Session 2

Reacting to Spiritwalker’s sudden disappearance within a few feet in front of them, the adventurers look at their surroundings to see if they can figure out what just happened. Ember runs behind a rock to skulk in the shadows. She is the first to see Spiritwalker be tossed out from thin air. Quick thinking, she refocuses her target with her bow towards the second thing to come out of thin air. A large dark spirit, with a cherub face and long dark ethereal arms and claws, appears in between Victor and Aydriann.
Ember lets loose her arrow towards the dark spirit and hits her mark. The dark spirit lets out a horrifying scream. The Spiritwalker regains footing and tells everyone not to kill the dark spirit. The Spiritwalker refers to themselves as we when talking to the group, as if to say, there are multiple identities.
Not knowing the true course of action, a hasty decision is made to assist this Spiritwalker. Victor grows large in stature, using his giant’s might, to grapple the dark spirit. The dark spirit looks at Victor with its cold dead eyes and lets out a horrific scream, causing everyone to question their motives. The Spiritwalker places three runic circles around the dark spirit as quickly as the Spiritwalker can. An ethereal claw attack from the dark spirit pierces Victor and sends horrific phantom pain through his body.
The spiritwalker is able to contain the dark spirit to its natural form of a spirit. The spiritwalker tells the group they are called Rain. Rain tells everyone the dark spirit was a Delic, a byproduct of confusion, rage and fright. Rain gripes the hand of the spirit and continues to explain that this spirit is a young adult. A twin brother, who had seen his twin sister die a few hours ago. The twin brother hadn’t known life to begin with, dying before having a chance to experience it. The twin brother’s only connection to this world had faded into the spirit realm. The manifestation of rage and confusion and fright turned the lost spirit into what many would call a monster.
Rain told the group that they are to walk with this spirit and thanked them for their help, disappearing from everyone’s view. With the Dust settled, Ember sets off to find out more about the job. She starts by scouting out the place marked on the map where the train heist is supposed to be. Enoki joins her as they head to the nearest train station to catch a lightning rail to the unwoven mountains.
On their walk, Enoki explains to Ember that he had joined the Judges academy in Centurion to become a Judge. Actually made it to the top of the class, but never became one. When asked, Enoki quickly changed the subject. Ember didn’t press the matter and said that she was glad to have them along.
Victor, badly hurt, rests inside of Ember’s and Aydriann’s home, along with three other creatures. Given the tour from Aydriann and resting a few hours, Victor gets antsy due to being away from home for a while and heads back to his distillery.
Aydriann crawls back to his space in the pipe and gets comfortable, mending away various magical tickets and trying various experiments to further knowledge into magic.
