Session 92

Rest and Reflection in the Tiny Hut
Ember conjures a Tiny Hut, giving the party a place to rest.
Noticing that Dax seems shaken, Mack gently holds his head and pulls him into a comforting hug. She thanks him for the kind gesture…referring to the banishment spell…but asks him not to send her away again without first ensuring he’s okay. “You don’t have the right to take that from me,” she says softly.
Aydriann, overhearing, admits the banishment did help reveal something important: it didn’t work properly. He believes the Moon Witch tampered with it, redirecting them to Elhanora…a city in Devreron ruled by one of the warring guilds, the Eclipsians, who revere Lelune. This, he warns, proves that banishment is unreliable as a way out of the Dark World. Their best bet is likely through Maeryn.
Concerned, Aydriann wonders aloud if Venoxyin might be alone in Eden. Mack offers that she might find the Scion Guardians and be safe, but Aydriann remains worried…Venoxyin is a dhampir, after all.
Tensions rise. Aydriann criticizes Ember and Peach for not supporting him. Peach fires back, saying his reckless actions nearly cost Tess her life. Ember agrees and rebukes Aydriann, saying asking for a banishment with no plan was dangerous. She urges him to stop thinking so low of everyone, suggesting they work together on a rescue plan for Venoxyin instead of acting selfishly.
Seryna offers a solution: there’s a boat that follow a river to Kalucifite that can cut the journey down to one day instead of five. However, the spirit inside the compass must be told to take the shortest path…by default, the boy leads them along the safest, longer route, taking 5 days.
Peach asks the boy in the compass. He confirms the instruction and checks with the group. They agree to take the shorter, riskier path.

Connections and Conflict
Tess wakes and embraces Aydriann. She offers her help, but Aydriann simply asks her to stay near. She agrees and offers to dance; he declines.
Aydriann confirms with Seryna that the boat trip is dangerous, but he’s ready to go now, ignoring rest. Seryna warns again that they’re likely to be attacked.
Peach tells him, “It’s the fastest route for you, Aydriann.”
Aydriann responds coldly: “Fuck you.”
Peach quietly exits the hut.
Outside, Peach is met by Xalphor, who is keeping watch. Xalphor tells Peach he is both selfless and special.
Inside, Ember urges Aydriann to talk to Peach…either to apologize or to work things out.

Visions, Warnings, and Truths
Muvara appears to Ember. She apologizes for her earlier sudden appearance before Aydriann, explaining that it was an impulsive act triggered by his message getting pass Eden’s seal. She admits things aren’t as they seem. Much of what they were told isn’t fully true. Muvara had been following a prophesied path, but Aydriann did something unexpected. “Venoxyin,” she says, “was the chaos.”
Ember asks about Venoxyin’s condition. Muvara replies that her life ribbons are torn but not cut…a sign of survival. She also reveals that New Moonshire is now veiled, preventing most magical surveillance.
Ember asks Muvara to check on Charlotte and discover how Venoxyin got her out and into Eden. Muvara agrees to ensure Charlotte is safe but says she cannot interfere further…it would violate the blood laws.
Meanwhile, Orianna summons her steed…a spectral warhorse resembling a Night Mare…and speaks with Dax. She expresses concern for him and offers her support.
Elsewhere, Peach talks with Tavina. Tavina is lost in doubt, unsure why Lesoleil used her to break Eden’s seal. She was removed from the tree where she held back winter…only to find it was all for nothing. She warns Peach to be wary of Lelune and Orianna. She also speaks of Devreron, the Eclipsians, and Elhanora. Yet despite it all, Tavina says life is better now. She was lonely in that tree. Peach understands.

Healing and Resolve
Peach and Aydriann finally talk. Peach is hurt that Aydriann acted without thinking of the consequences. He asks for better communication. At first, Aydriann doesn’t see the need, focused solely on saving Venoxyin. Peach argues for a team effort and a strategic approach. Eventually, Aydriann relents. He agrees it’s better to stay with the group than risk harming them by acting alone. He admits he’s afraid of failing those he cares about…and confesses that Peach is a big part of why he cares at all.
Later, Orianna approaches Peach. She checks on him. Peach complains about the attention he’s been getting and confesses he hates the Dark World. Orianna agrees and says she wishes things could return to normal. She reminds Peach that he isn’t alone…he can talk to her. Peach nods. Before she leaves, he warns her about Lelune.

The Dream of Lelune
That night, as the party sleeps, Orianna dreams. Lelune appears.
In the dream, Lelune taunts her, trying to sway her allegiance. She claims to shield the world from vampires. Orianna defends Seryna, saying not all vampires are evil. Lelune scoffs…Seryna only seems good because Orianna hasn’t looked into her past. The dream ends with Orianna breaking free of Lelune’s grip.

Departure
Morning comes.
The group awakens and prepares to depart. Peach leads the way. Seryna, still weak, rides with Orianna on the Night Mare. Ember and Aydriann mount Xalphor.
Before they go, Dax pulls two unfortunate items from the Funbag…

Mack - “Thank you. But, don’t ever do that again without me making sure your ok. Don’t take that away from me again.”
Aydriann - “I’m stopping myself from walking away”
Xalphor - “Peach, if you ever think yourself not special, you should know I think your special…and not because of treats”
Ember - “If Jaz touches you, I will end him.”
Muvara - “I’ll ask her, how she got out, and see how close, I can get, to destruction…”
Orianna - “I worry about you Dax. I care about you and I think its going to be ok in the end. I support you.”
Dax - Illusion’s “Thanx” to Orianna after her supportive talk.
Peach - “Aydriann, there is no straight answer in life.”
Peach - “You know, I would break Eden’s seal if it meant you could see her again.”
Aydriann - “It was a distraction from me losing anyone, it was a distraction from the fact I was going to lose you…”
