Session 40

Beneath the unseen cloak of deception, a malevolence thrives beyond the eyes of those uninitiated.
Icysyn’s violent rebellion brought forth liberation from a hellish monarchy. The royal kin, brought to the cold embrace of the executioner’s blade, save for one. Yet, in the aftermath, the lingering question persists like a haunting specter: does the blade’s cruel ballet birth resolution, or does it merely sow the seeds for a darker harvest, staining the annals of fate with yet more blood?
Siblings, haunted by the echoes of a harrowing event, find themselves standing on the precipice of reunion. Years have etched lines of experience, each wrinkle a testament to the trials endured in the chasm of separation.
As they bridge the expanse of their shared history, the weight of unspoken words hangs palpable in the air. The scars of the past, both seen and unseen, serve as silent witnesses to the passage of years marked by absence.
In this moment of tentative reunion, the specter of the horrific event hovers, an uninvited guest in the fragile space where time and trauma intersect.
One creature, veiled by shadows of solitude, breaks from the cohesive bonds of the group’s safety. Driven by a relentless pursuit of answers, buried like secrets within the ashen remnants of the past, this solitary figure traverses a path defined by destiny’s hand.
Through the remnants of a bygone inferno, he ventures, seeking clarity amid the ashes that whisper tales of both ruin and revelation. The familiar faces of his companions fade into the background as he walks the solitary road that destiny has paved, the weight of unresolved mysteries pressing upon his every step.
Alary finds himself in front of a large building called the Fuegan Mountain, a temple for Fuegan the god of fire and change. He goes into the temple to ask questions and finds a male tiefling cleric, Ignatietus. Alary wasn’t closure and wants to speak to an Avatar of Fuegan. Alary pays 10gp to Ignatietus and Ignatietus goes and performs the ritual to summon an avatar, which is the form of a lion on fire. Alary asks
What does Fuegan Control?

  1. Fire but he does not have control over fire at all times.

Why did I experience this horrible change?

  1. He had experienced trauma and wanted closure. It was nothing that he did that caused the event that transpired.

Why was I the one who survived?

  1. Intervention by the Divine, a New Deity. Muvara.

Alary experienced a horrible change and trauma; avatar says. Alary did not cause the event to happen though. Alary, the one who survived, was told that it was divine intervention by a deity Muvara which was said to be new to the pantheon. Upon exiting the temple, Alary is met with a stranger. A human by the name of Gaston which the meeting came off very weird for Alary. Alary has a strange sensation but is able to overcome it but hears a female siren voice.
The group heads inside of the Ice Dungeon, an inn and tavern to meet with a white furred Lionin Kaelan Wildstride. Peach and Orianna are asked by Sirius if they can sit alone away from the group, which they agree but Aydriann stays nearby. Ember and Melina talk with him and a half orc called Zarun but comes by the name Za. Kaelan explains his wife has gone missing a day ago, his wife’s name is Betrilla. He explains she was last seen at the show and people saw her leave toward the east side of the city which is heading home but she never made it home. Kaelan was busy with a hunting job and wasn’t able to attend the Opera. Kaelan, Betrilla, and Za are from Mythwing, and had moved to Icesyn a few years ago. Za traveled to Volaris for a brief stay but had received word from Kaelan to come help find Betrilla and she teleported back. A picture of Betrilla shows a female Lionin with black fur, no mane and yellow eyes.
Meanwhile with Sirius, Orianna and Peach, Sirius feels unwell and needs to step outside shortly after sitting with them but returns fatigued and frustrated. Sirius explains his advisory role within the Eldon Order. He last advised the red king but when the red king ended his life, he took it upon himself to be proactive and seek out employment in Icesyn he said. Sirius says he is trying to fix his family. Peach catches a scar reminding him of his fathers. Peach says his grandparents know too much and it’s the reason why they were killed. Sirius gets frustrated that Ember and Aydriann are at the table and eventually teleports away. Aydriann gets upset with Peach and Orianna as information was shared with SIrius that could put them in harm’s way. They call it a night for all of them and plan to meet Kaelen in the morning to help him find his wife.
