Session 6
Ember and Aydriann head towards what looks to be a one story small cabin. Smoke floats up from the chimney of this cabin as snow starts to come down hard. Trees sway and make wind noises as an owl hoots in the distance, light from cabin windows shine down onto the snow, giving the only light source in the area besides the occasional moon light that peeks through the clouds.
Ember and Aydriann head off in a stealthy fashion to scout the cabin. Enoki stays behind and looks down the train tunnel to see if anything is amiss. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary so Enoki stayed posted to look out for anything that might pop up.
Ember decides to peek into one of the windows of the cabin and sees there are 5 white hooded creatures inside. Both Ember and Aydriann head back to the train tunnel, signaling to Victor, clearly visible, that he should follow. From there, the group cover themselves in snow to hide till the train comes. Ember, Enoki and Aydriann climb up a steep slope to the top of the train tunnel to hide. Victor dons off his armor and hides in the snow. Around 8:30 a strange wind flows through the woods.
A few minutes before the train was due to arrive, the five hooded creatures come out of the cabin and start to walk towards the train tunnel. Arriving slightly early, the train comes out of the tunnel slowly. Seizing an opportunity, Ember and Aydriann leap onto the top of the 13th car as the train slowed to a stop. Making it look like snow falling from the top of the train tunnel with the help of Enoki, the two were able to not raise an alarm to the five hooded creatures walking towards the 13th car.
Enoki notices something and makes a quick glance with his head to look around to see what he can spot. Unfortunately the snow gives way and the hooded creatures notice. Two start to head towards Enoki to investigate.
With the chance of being caught becoming increasingly high, Aydriann makes a bold move. After Ember picks the lock to the train roof hatch, Ember and Aydriann see three golems who seem to be guarding the book they need to steal.
Aydriann jumps into the middle of the golem group and unleashes a thunderous wave of force on all three golems. Upset at Aydriann’s actions, they dispatch him quickly in a bloody fashion. What seemed certain death, one of the golems is able to stabilize Aydriann for questioning. Ember now has to make a decision. Should she stay or should she run?
