Molten Breath
Section titled “Molten Breath”Dax grabbed inside of the funbag and pulled out a cracked bottle… a potion from Fungar’s collection, leaking a molten liquid that hissed against the icy air. A choice lingered in his mind, time slipping away with every second. Drink it and gain fire breath, perhaps enough to end this once and for all … or dump it out and take a gamble with whatever might happen next. The liquid bubbled, the choice burning as fiercely as the contents.
Dax drinks the potion and runs towards the dragon but gets winded before being able to breathe fire. It is his friend Mack who takes her blade to the dragon’s heart while being blinded by its prismatic light.
Death of a Dragon
Section titled “Death of a Dragon”The dragon falls through the building as Mack manages to maneuver safely with falling and building debris. A fierce beast now lay dormant, letting the party gather its expensive prismatic scales.
Looking Around
Section titled “Looking Around”Ember glances around the party’s surroundings and notices movement in the rubble of a building a few feet away. Carefully approaching the rumble, a feminine cry for help comes from the movement. Coming to the rescue, the group sees Gaute was buried. She was the blacksmith they met the first time they were in Icesyn.
Heading Back
Section titled “Heading Back”The group decides to head back to the ship to get Gaute Stonefist to safety. Traveling for an hour, they realize something is off as the terrain repeats. They discover that they are in a demi-plane and are trapped in a place created by Edmeera and Cassara.
Banishment
Section titled “Banishment”As time is of the essence, the group decides to risk banishment out of the Demi-plane. It could separate them, but it would be more beneficial than staying trapped. A few banishments take place, but each group member luckily gets back to the ship.
Ember casts a spell to see invisible creatures and the spirit realm. She sees winged creatures staring down from the tops of buildings … the same ones from the Illumine Circus massacre. She sees Muvara hovering far away. Waiting to cast the last banishment spell, Muvara is forced away by what seems to be Edmeera.
Edmeera says to Ember that Muvara may have saved the four members of the group but would not be able to save herself. Dax begins panicking as Cassara comes into view, about to cast a spell. Ember stares down Edmeera and says, “Till we meet again,” before snapping her fingers to seal the banishment spell.
