Malith gives Aydriann the whispering skull and talks about the ascension ritual according to the text she has read. She says that it requires a sacrifice of 5 to the one that would ascend.
One mortal has done this, Nashira, an assassin for the old moon goddess, Shen. Nashira killed Valkaris, the old Sun god.
Malith sends Aydriann off and wishes him good luck.
Charlotte and Mack are hanging out in New Moonshire when Mack notices Charlotte’s Eyes are a golden color. Charlotte explains it’s due to her taking, the goddess of life, Yllena’s essence.
Mack also makes a discovery that Charlotte isn’t 19. She is 39 and that Mack was unconscious for 20 years after she left and woke up outside of Eden.
Mack is sorry for not being there for Charlotte. Charlotte is also sorry for not being there for Mack.
Peach travels out to a hillside, dragging Orianna with him. He approaches a blinding ray of light that shines down from the heavens. From it steps forth Sigunia and Soleil.
Soleil greets Peach with warmth. Peach tells Soleil he doesn’t know his place and direction in what his role is in the group. Soleil says to Peach, he is the guidance, with the sun’s light, Tavina.
Soleil tells Peach of Sigunia’s history. Sigunia had been protected by Kervoite as a deal was made with Noite. He was protected against the endless winter and lived for over a thousand years. Sigunia was sent to kill Kervoite who controlled the endless winter. In the end Sigunia tried to seek another way when confronted with Kervoite but Kervoite feinted an attack in order for Sigunia to slay him. With Kervoite dead, the deal was done and Sigunia’s life slipped away from him. Before dying, Sigunia stabbed the Syn tree to stop the endless winter.
Soleil talks about Lune, his little sister. Shen was a companion of Lune. Shen, the old moon goddess, was going mad. Shen and her assassin killed Valkaris, the old sun god. To keep balance, Lune was the only one who could kill Shen because of her companionship. Wars now are waged because of this event. Soleil says that his sister has flaws but has a good heart. He admits that he himself also has flaws.
Soleil supports Peach in choosing to follow both him and his sister and hopes for a kinder world.
A request to bless Christine from Vampirism. Soleil said he would do this but recommended the curse be lifted by Lune.
