Ember and Orianna bore witness to a colossal, otherworldly creature. It hovered in the air like that of a dark specter. Its form was a grotesque blend of nightmare and angelic. A body seeming almost skeletal, with elongated limbs and gaunt, bony features. The creature’s skin appeared black with a ribbed resin texture that shimmered with an otherworldly radiance. A twisted, almost human-like face. Its eyes were deep and hollow, glowing with an eerie, ethereal light. Its mouth had a gaping maw filled with rows of sharp, jagged teeth, and it seemed frozen in a perpetual, silent scream.
It’s tendril wings were vast and tattered, resembling the wings of a fallen angel. They seem to extend infinitely, casting a shadow over the infinite waters of the spirit realm where u had stood. The wings rippled with strange, iridescent patterns, like the surface of a dark, cosmic sea. There was an aura of swirling, dark energy. This energy seems to radiate from the creature, giving it an almost divine, yet malevolent presence. It appears both beautiful and terrifying, a paradoxical embodiment of its awe-inspiring and dreadful visage. Defying comprehension, an eldritch being, Ember will be the one to defy the Gods and keep the forbidden knowledge. A story very similar to the fallen Sypha.
Jaz told Aydriann, “In the end, it won’t be the archons who shape the world, nor the infernal who bring about its demise. Instead, it will be the relentless force of chaos that looms as both the harbinger of destruction and the unlikely savior.”
The Six Eyed Yabai casts its gaze on Melina. Melina quickly heals herself in time for a barrage of eye rays that equal out the health restored. Aydriann casts Hunger of Hadar around it to try and get it to be suppressed. Orianna casts Sanctuary to guard Melina from damage and tell her to stay still and act pretty.
Mack goes in for an attack and hits the Six Eyes Yabai hard before coming back down to the ravine.
Meanwhile Dax runs towards a frost giant acting like a female creature and asks for help. The gaint is more confused than anything as he watches the turmoil unfurl. The six turns his attention to Dax and fires eye rays but misses all of them. At this point the Six Eye Yaibai looks badly hurt and Peach takes his opportunity to kill it.
Orianna gives Melina the rest of Laying on Hands. The party continues up the ravine to the waterfall Elira had mentioned to Peach. Dax takes his opportunity to show off and goes in first into the waterfall to see if there is anything under it. A cavern is the first thing he sees and then he hears a voice, which directs his gaze towards a elderly human male with a spear. Without warning the creature pushes a button on the spear and traps him inside with everyone else outside the waterfall including Macky. Macky panics and has another vision.
Adelaide lay amidst the shattered remnants of what was once a haven, her form battered and broken, a stark testament to the merciless brutality of their assailants. Yet, despite the crimson tide that ebbed from her wounds, her gaze held a flicker of defiant resolve, as if her spirit pushed back death for a few moments longer. This vision doesn’t seem right to what your vision had told you before but it feels very true as if ancient memories have all of a sudden awoken. Bloody and wounded u remember the weapons they used stopped magically healing and cut the resurrection tether. These assassins had claimed Adelaide’s life but these final moments were granted to u as u remember. Adelaide looks into Mack’s eyes weakly and says “Mackey, u have to protect them”. She looks over at the children, “This is the consequence of immortality. Living in isolation from the world has only made this more visible. Without an end, there ceases to be a beginning. I messed up thinking he wouldn’t do this with his own daughter. Taking the risk of hurting her. But I was wrong. Don’t let him have Char. Don’t let him carry out the order to terminate these young lives before you. Or any. He can rot. U mustn’t let him have her. He will twist her to the ways of Eden. Poison her mind into thinking the way of Eden is the only way.” Vision fades.
Dax managed to calm down the guard and convince him to open the secret waterfall door for Aydriann. As they waited for the guard to come back from throwing a lever to open the door, they discussed their plan.
