As more waves of enemies clamber onto the boat with deadly intent, the heroes fend them off with growing resolve. Ember unleashes turn undead, shattering a cluster of undead in a flash of light and forces others to flee the ship, while Dax ensnares a void-touched creature with Mental Prison, locking its mind in torment.
Then, with a thunderous crash, a towering figure lands on the deck…an Apostate of Death, cloaked in darkness and reeking of malice. Xalphor surges forward to confront it, but the creature’s strength proves overwhelming. Forced to retreat, Xalphor falls back, wounded and breathless.
Now, the Apostate steadies itself, preparing to strike.
