The group moved quickly, dispatching Threxavor the Vhorazk. Once the dust settled, Ember and the crew began looting. The big prize was a large sapphire worth 800 gold pieces, which Ember tossed to Mack as a gift.
The party approached the door where Velmorith was supposedly waiting. They took a moment to prepare before turning the key, expecting the door to open by itself after the key was used.

As soon as the door opened, Velmorith announced that all the group’s treasures would be his. Dax shouted back, “Treasure this DICK!”
The group managed to defeat some of the lesser minions but could not take out both lieutenants before Velmorith attacked. He focused his aggression on Orianna, who fell to his assault. Velmorith then teleported to Mack, drawn by the large sapphire gem, and nearly took her out. Mack used a supreme healing potion to keep herself standing while the others continued trading blows.
