Session 25
The group of adventurers try to think of a way to bring the puzzle box, the source of the portal, through said portal. Unfortunately, it seems impossible and the group decides to step through the portal. The group teleports to Netherspring where they meet up with Livvi. Livvi joins the group as Kay’d recommends everyone join in visiting a potion shop. As they are talking, the Scrypt can be heard with Vossler talking about Edmeera’s bold move to attack the city. He says that there are laws and that the Gods are not above them and that it won’t stand. Volaris will prevail.
Survivors of the Illuminee attack start to cross the adventure path as they follow Kay’d-9 to a potion shop. They meet the male human Zebdekai and his half elf son Cassian. Zeddekai had lost his wife, a female moon elf Phonia in the midst of the Illumine attack. Aydriann gives Cassian a trinket to comfort him which he takes and plays with it, forgetting today’s events. Ember casts sending to see if she can help by having Phonia meet the two in Valkrie Park. Phonia responds, a confirmation she is alive, she’ll meet everyone at Valkyrie park.
As everyone is walking towards the potion shop, Kay’d explains that the Eldon order wanted Keyvath to win the magic duel. Ezra wasn’t wanted because Keyvath is an Aristocaste and holds more influence for the Eldon order to gain from. Kayd’s task was to watch and if necessary, make Keyvath one. Kay’d then explains since that didn’t happen, trouble may be brewing for the Golem as both the Black Masks and the Eldon Order don’t accept mistakes. When asked why they don’t run, Kay’d explained that Volaris is the one place they have been able to survive persecution for being a Golem. Kay’d assured the group that the attack should hopefully save them from punishment.
At the Pretty Alchemist, Ember buys an invisibility potion and Victor buys a healing potion. Kay’d makes a delivery which seemed suspicious but Aydriann makes a comment that Victor does the same thing. Victor, very unpleasant by Aydriann giving his information away to the black mask, eventually says he delivers beer. As the group says goodbye to Kay’d, Aydriann invites them to join them in Neverspire sometime. Kay’d says it’s a possibility.
Back at Neverspire, everyone notices that Lily is gone. Foul play isn’t noticed but Venoxyin comes running out the tube where Ember and Aydriann live and says that Preslynn isn’t well. Everyone heads into the tube to discover that Preslynn has been cursed. Preslynn is saying something about a woodpecker over and over. The group scrambles to a cure. Melina mentions greater restoration for these things. Ember casts sleep on Preslynn which works but doesn’t seem to cure the curse. Aydriann reads Preslynn’s thoughts and discovers a name she says, Narza. Aydriann, upset, asks for Jaz to answer.
