Session 24

Embers floated in the air as the winged creatures gave chase. Ahead, there was a light…surrounded by fiery blazes that created a narrow passageway for creatures trying to escape the horror unfolding.
Several silhouettes of creatures’ heads disappear down below the stampeding crowd, an indication of being overtaken by those who seek safety.
Fresh corpses lay in the wake before you. Were they trampled or were they slain by other means? This slows most of you down. There doesn’t seem to be much choice as the winged creatures close. Will this be where you make a stand?
A voice and an attempt to grab a hand. A golem, feminine in build but with a masculine voice pleads “Follow me if u want a way out of this shit”

Many laid dead before the adventures, unsure of how they died; by being trampled or by other means? The winged creatures closed in as a voice and an attempt to grab a hand came from a golem, who’s skin was made entirely of porcelain. They had broad, muscular shoulders and a chiseled, angular face with a slender and feminine body. Their body was adorned with intricate, swirling tattoos which look like they were carefully etched into the porcelain itself.
The golem’s eyes were two deep, blue glowing orbs that seemed to radiate with an inner light. Despite its porcelain exterior, it seemed that the golem was a formidable warrior, with a strength and power that belied in its delicate appearance. Its tattoos seem to radiate with an inner energy, like ancient symbols of power and mysticism.
The adventurers make a quick decision to follow this golem to a trap door that was hidden in one of the tents under a rug. Everyone filed into the door with Aydriann being last, who got a glimpse of a fireball that laid waste to the surface that everyone was just running on, grabbed a metal pole, offered by this golem, to seal up the trap door.
The adventurers find themselves in an underground passage that was dimly lit, winding through the Underground. The walls and ceilings were made of brick and stone, held together by thick iron bars that formed a network of support beams.
The air was thick with the smell of oil and the hum of machinery, with magical steam-powered automatons working tirelessly to maintain the passage. Glimmers of light were seen up ahead, where the passage opened up into a large chamber filled with massive ley line pumps and generators. The pumps pulse with energy, channeling power from ley lines from veins and into the city above.
In the corners of the cavern, a few creatures look up, as tremors could still be felt from the attack on the illumine. Kay’d, the unique golem with porcelain skin, took a risk to try and get information about the magic duel that took place moments ago that Rain had canceled. Kay’d asked what had happened; what was said. The exchange leads to a threat of violence but luckily things don’t escalate and Aydriann is able to persuade Kay’d to trust them.
The group makes their way to a part of the cavern where a door blocks the entrance. Quickly dispatched, the group entered through the newly opened doorway. Running into a monster, the group takes a detour into a room where a puzzle box is. This puzzle box opens a portal that now the group is to decide what to do next.
