Perspective. If a tree falls in the forest does it make a sound? Some would argue if the sound wasn’t heard, the sound doesn’t exist.
The stories of the outcasts. Forgotten, lost and unheard. Dax, keeper of stories, holds a record of several beings considered outcast from society. Let them be heard so that they can exist in the tales to come.
Everyone awakes from their slumber as the last day of travel is upon them. A plan of what to do next as Elira’s ailment has gotten worse. Ember casts death ward upon Elira before the group heads out.
She can’t move very well and the group decides to carry her. One by one they take turns until they come up with an idea to use a polymorph spell to turn two of them into giant eagles. They cut travel time in half but unfortunately Elira’s time runs out.
Elira gets Peach’s attention as she knows the end is nigh. Elira hands Peach the wooden trinket of an airship that Peach had made for her. She has etched two stick figures, one with horns and another that was smaller. Under each figure was a word. The one with horns was the word cool and the one that was tiny was cold. Elira looked in Orianna’s direction and said Orianna had a cool bird, referring to Kai. These were the last words of Elira before she was frozen by the Syn fruit’s curse by Noite, the god of winter.
Zavrun has a grim realization as the howls in the distance come closer that the group is surrounded and will need to defend against the howlers incoming. Peach turns into a dire wolf to protect Elira.
