Part 1: Breaking the Swallow

The worm fight rages on, with Orianna and Peach still swallowed. Mack focuses fire on the worm’s mouth, trying to force it to release them (a DC 22 to aim down its gullet). Inside the beast, Peach rages but takes heavy acid and force damage from its digestion.

The worm batters the party - poisoning Mack with its tail (inflicting the Poisoned condition and disadvantage) and biting through Aydriann’s gargantuan Titanoboa form for 54 damage, shattering the polymorph back to his gnome shape. Aydriann’s 6th-level Lightning Bolt only chips it, as the worm burns a Legendary Resistance. Ember Mirror Steps in, lands Judgment and two Chill Touches, and - crucially - locks down the worm’s ability to regenerate, then scatters hard-light after-images to spoil its aim.

Mack’s turn breaks the deadlock. Firing her Liga weapon with Action Surge, Heroic Inspiration (to offset the poison), and Savage Attacker, she lands three radiant hits (22, 24, 18) for 60 internal damage in a single turn - enough to force the regurgitation save. The worm fails (rolling 23 against an effectively impossible DC) and violently spits Orianna and Peach clear of the hazard.

Part 2: The Mythic Shatter

Aydriann tries Hold Monster to pin the titan, but it shrugs off the save. Ember keeps the worm’s healing locked with Chill Touch and screens the frontline with Mirror Step after-images. Dax chips in with a Starry Wisp cantrip and a Healing Word to keep Peach up.

Then the worm hits its Phase 2 transition: its aether-infused outer carapace erupts in a shrapnel blast, forcing a Dexterity save against 27 piercing and 41 force on everyone within 30 feet. The blast obliterates all of Ember’s after-images and drops Orianna to 0. But shedding the carapace degrades the worm’s Armor Class to 19, leaving its fleshy interior exposed for the rest of the fight.

Part 3: The Banishment Gambit

In the aftermath the worm unleashes a psychic scream (DC 18 Intelligence). Dax fails, taking 25 psychic damage and - worse - losing concentration on his support magic.

The worm focuses Mack and rolls a natural 20, but Ember’s lingering after-images impose disadvantage, forcing the crit to be discarded into a miss and saving Mack. Unable to land on the frontline, the worm blinks across space to materialize right in front of Aydriann. Cornered, he gambles on Banishment to force it out of reality - the worm needed a 16 or lower against his DC 18 and rolled exactly 18, resisting. Out of options, Aydriann Misty Steps 30 feet away to the unconscious Orianna.

The session ends there: Orianna down at 0, key concentration spells shattered, and the mythic-phase worm still an active, gargantuan threat.
