Session 123
Feb 28, 2026
In Vyre and Ravynne’s opulent chamber, Ravynne goes to a heavy steel lockbox laced with dormant aether-glass conduits and gives it to Peach. Venoxyin, she explains, had told her to give it to “Aydriann’s friend, Peach” - it belonged to him.
I. The Lumen-Harmonic Components
Section titled “I. The Lumen-Harmonic Components”With the Dawn Call’s radiation due at 6:00 AM, the party works to a tight timeline from the Shifting Sands’ front in the Meridian Tier. They present the Celestium Lattice (Component 82) to Vyre and Ravynne. To finish the Lumen-Harmonic Attenuator they still need a shopping list: Prismatic Array Lenses from a merchant named Sergei, a Resonant Gyro to magnetically stabilize the core, and Lennin crystals to shield against mutation in Wizard’s Folly. Knowing the Folly’s lethality, they have Ravynne stay behind in Craze Pass as a fail-safe, taking a 3,000 gold piece advance to fund the expedition. They then split into three teams.
II. The Soul Economy of Eden
Section titled “II. The Soul Economy of Eden”While Ember and Mack remain at the safehouse, Mack learns the truth of her own existence and the “Purge.” Eden’s citizens are given “EMP scores” - a metric rating emotional well-being and compliance. Those who fail the standard are executed, their souls harvested and forcibly “seated” into golem chassis to serve as industrial labor.
III. Muvara’s Warning & The Eldon Variable
Section titled “III. Muvara’s Warning & The Eldon Variable”Muvara manifests in the safehouse with critical intelligence: the rival Eldon Order is building their own Lumen-Harmonic Attenuator. If they breach the barrier first, it will trigger war with Eden and Venoxyin’s captors will execute her. Muvara tasks the party with intercepting the Eldon Order during their field test and convincing them to report back to their superiors that the device failed.
IV. Severing the Twilight Bond
Section titled “IV. Severing the Twilight Bond”Before departing, Peach finalizes the patch to his cursed blade, Umbra. Facilitated by Muvara on Lelune’s behalf, Peach makes physical contact with his bond and the divine contract executes: the blade’s murder-tithe is permanently severed, but by the law of equivalent exchange, its teleportation feature is permanently removed.
V. Bribing the Bureaucracy
Section titled “V. Bribing the Bureaucracy”Aydriann and Orianna work the Breach Gate administrative offices. The clerk, Phil, first denies them a deployment slot before the Dawn Call. Orianna leverages her noble background and a heavy bribe (rolling a 27 on Persuasion/Intimidation), securing a 2:00 AM breach time. The cost of forcing it: their group of six has to be bundled into the same launch window as a smaller “group of three” that includes a Rivari.
VI. The Drift Bazaar Barter
Section titled “VI. The Drift Bazaar Barter”Descending into the hanging architecture of the Drift Bazaar and the lower Warrens, Dax and Peach hunt the mechanical components.
- The Resonant Gyro: using Locate Object, they track it to the Warrens, where a child is using the complex stabilizer as a toy. Dax trades a carved mechanical duck for it (DC 10 Deception).
- The Prismatic Lenses: Peach’s high Perception (32) locates Sergei, operating on a series of suspended, swinging chains. After an acrobatic exchange and 100 gold, Sergei hands over the aether-glass lenses.
The session ends around midnight. The party has its breach time and the Attenuator chassis parts, but still needs the Lennin radiation shielding before the 2:00 AM deployment into the Folly.
