Session 32
Our innocence is sometimes taken when we least expect it. Being naive to the brutality of the world can be a gift. We go about our lives in Fornova not knowing what horrors lie in wait to take something so precious. For some, we carry the burden of bearing witness to the atrocities of the world. Either simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time or choosing to meet the brutality.
A guard from the red keep, Altan, gives up his post to follow a new venture with hopes of a brighter outlook. Qadas, another guard runs over to the group with a piece of parchment…
Meanwhile outside the mountains, Funterra and Lorena follow the other half of the group in hopes of disappearing.
Group comes up with a name for themselves, “La Familia Bohemia”, and they decide to name the airship “The Valiant”
Aydriann sends a message to Morstar to request help getting Funterra and Lorena to safety.
Qudas gives the group the deed to the airship and agrees to join them on the airship. On the deed there is fine print as to insure the safety of the ship, the Captain and crew have final word. Also mentions something about an advisor from the Eldon Order
Melina shares some information. The Airship was not called the Dauntless during the time with the Ephelon Empire. The Airship was made to look like it was created in Volaris.
The Red King got his name for his ruthless approach to battle, creatures were not merely killed, they were destroyed or made examples.
Venoxyin saw Morstar on his way. Venoxyin also saw Corsten heading in this direction. Venoxyin warns Aydriann that this might be the last time he is able to see him
Lorena, Funterra and Altan decide to join the group on the airship
Morstar tells Aydriann, Darkwater prison gets its name from the central keep where it keeps portals to other places, dark waters. Aydriann asks Morstar and Cathryn to join them on the airship to which they agree
Corsten seems sad and distant when he meets up with Aydriann. Left Aydriann when he was younger. Said Cliffside Conclave was a fucked up place. Corsten had fallen in love with a Dwarf by the name of Dramir. Unfortunately the Conclave only accepts Jones and the conclave throws the dwarf off the clive. Divulges he has a plan to get rid of the Conclave once and for good.
Aydriann and Venoxyin head to neverspire to pick up some things left. Aydriann finds journals from Korabosch, Fayre, and Krildrish. Venoxyin picks up Ember’s Stash. Aydriann grabs pieces of sprocket and sends them to Corsten.
Orianna and Ember bump into Chlo Dreamspinner and Cat Kalikrisi. They let Ember know they are leaving Volaris and gives coordinates of where they are living, near Cliffspell
When Orianna and Ember get to Muvara’s Path, they head to the temple of the Spirit walkers where many are in a frenzy due to attacks on the city since the Illumine Circus, too many spirits still on Volaris. One Spirit walker leads them to Yeivesa who is pacing at the front of the classroom.
Yeivesa tells Orianna that Kai may leave as it seems the kindred spirit’s mission was coming to an end which Orianna isn’t happy about. Orianna says that her father is struggling. Was going to research to help him.
Yeivesa and Rain fought before Ember and Orianna arrived and weren’t there for that reason. Yeivesa takes the two to a magical mansion where it’s revealed that Yeivesa is from Eden and knows a lot. The magical mansion emulates Yeivesa’s home and in the courtyard of the mansion is Lily. Yeivesa’s real name is Rhaenarr Bareneos. Yeivesa explains that they have to use fake names as they are being hunted.
Orianna, upset about Kai, asks Xanthos to not let him go. Xanthos explains that Poe is a murderer who killed for someone else’s cause, an assassin
Says that Kai died young and didn’t get to achieve something great, this was his chance to ascend to a better outerlife. Xanthos gives Orianna a choice to keep Kai as a companion to which Kai decides to stay.
Rhaenarr leads everyone to a well to view memory stones of their past. They warn it is bad memories but Rain wanted them to show them.
1. You see an elf of tall stature and Describe a scene where the two are starting to argue. It turns abusive through magic. “A child will just complicate things, trust me”
2. Inside a spacious room through the eyes of Rhaenarr Bareneos, he sits up to go into a large kitchen. Sudden yelling is heard from outside, “These are Prasillis Roses you dumb…” Rhaenarr rushes to see what is going on. Lily is seen, their hand held by Zadimus in a forceful manner. “You have ruined them by trimming them too low.” he lets go and lily falls to the ground from the momentum they tried to escape Zadimus’s grasp. Zadimus starts to cast a spell as Rhaenar starts to panic, “No, Zadimus, please don’t do this…” A hedge now in view. It seems to be a maze as Rhaenar starts running till it hurts to find a way out. Finally moments later a portal to which Rhaenar steps through. Stepping back to a hellish scene of Lily’s limbs scatter, Lily slumped over. “What did you do Zadimus.” Rhaenarr starts to cry as Zadimus replies, “I taught her how to trim a Prasillis Rose.”
3. Zadimus Whisper sits up from a long table where he only sits. Rhaenarr Bareneos walks towards the table to where Zadimus is. As Rhaenarr continues to walk, Zadimus speaks, “The Goddess has promised life everlasting if we do this. Don’t give your self righteous bullshit about it being wrong. We, Eden, can live forever what more do you want.” Rhaenarr stops, angry now, and turns away from Zadimus, “Where the fuck are you going?”
“A child”
“What?”
“A child that outlives me, that carries hope for the future. That’s what I want.”
4. A scene where rain is shown in mammon in a puddle of tears from Xanthos. A squid-like creature.
Yeivesa “It’s a trap Yllena, even a mortal creature, such as I, can see there is nothing to be gained by willingly giving yourself to Edmeera.”
Yllena, “Edmeera’s a schemer, always planning the next horrible thing. Her focus on me, to make me suffer and hold me here on Fornova would split her power. To walk into her trap would be a gift for the creatures of Fornova that I’m willing to endure.”
Yeivesa “It’s not just Edmeera who will trap you. The one that I loved, once, is cruel and cold, obsessed in power, will be the destruction of Eden.”
Yllena turns to look past Yei, “Have you come to stop me as well?”
Xanthos, “Is this what you want?”
Yllena turns to Eden in the sky, “Yes?”
Xanthos, “This choice will affect the life ribbons.”
Yllena, “They all end even if I don’t go willingly. She won’t stop Xan. At least if I go willingly there’s a chance. The glimmers I saw past the ribbons, the light u can’t see, it’s a fate telling that something or someone will be able to break fate and save the creatures of Fornova. Something we aren’t able to see yet.”
Yeivesa, “A chance, that’s what we have to go by. A glimmer of hope. U are supreme beings yet you walk blindly towards slaughter and we supposed just watch and hope…”
Yllena flys off as Xanthos looks up to her flight path. Rain heavily pours down from the sky now as tears of blue stream down his face. A puddle of rain and blue glow forms near Yeivesa and Xanthos. A lightning strike on the puddle causing Yeivesa to jolt away and lose sight of Xanthos. Yeivesa’s gaze though quickly focuses on the puddle which a squid like creature slushes around. Yeivesa goes to pick it up as the memory fades
Rhanear has been lying for 867 years, running from Edmeera, Rain is hope and Rhaenarr was charged with protecting them. Rain is Muvara.
Rain doesn’t have a domain and as such can be slain by Edmeera. The other gods have domains and as such are protected.
Rhaenarr asks about the book of the dead that Ember has and tells her that if you write down a name, it will reveal one’s life ribbon. Ember writes down Kai’s name, the book says his name is Sebastion, died at age 12 and explained how. Yllena said that she could see glimmer’s in the cuts. Rhaenarr also explains in a year’s time that all the ribbon will have a final cut in about a year’s time but Yllena said she saw glimmers past them. She thought it meant hope that someone will come to save everyone.
Rhaenarr says to find a book called “Greyblood and the god killer” which talks about Sypha Ignis. Rhaenarr explains that Muvara knows all about every creature to assist with spirit walking.
Zadimus is the emperor of Eden and helped Edmeera trap Yllena on Eden. Eden Citizens are granted everlasting life; Edmeera pierced Yellena with 1000 needles
Xanthos and Yllena told Rhaenarr to keep the secret about Muvara.
Rhaenarr explains about Aydriann’s past, growing up cliffside conclare, an organization in the eastern mountain district. A mineral, Ignis Procurite is mined there. Two gnomes claimed that part of the area because the mineral is valuable and used for airship travel. In the conclave, if you couldn’t do hard work, you were considered useless and shunned from the conclave. Much of that area was tight, perfect for gnomes. Conclave citizens watched each other to make sure they were normal.
Rhaenarr trys to get in contact with Rain. Rhaenarr locates rain in Yllena’s light and sees mass carnage with a large crab like beast. Many spirit walkers were killed. Rain says that Edmeera’s caused this with the spirits of the Illumine. Rain says that Edmeera may finally get her wish.
