Session 47
“I, a stranger in a world I never made”
In Fornova, where the shadows dance with whispers of forgotten lore, the deviation from the norm is often met with suspicion and scorn.
For those who dare to defy the expectations of society, the price of their uniqueness can be steep indeed. They are the outcasts, the misfits, condemned to walk a path fraught with peril and uncertainty. Their very existence, a challenge to the established order, a threat to those who cling to tradition like a drowning man to a sinking ship.
Yet, for all the hardships they endure, there is a strength that comes from being different. It is a resilience born of adversity, a defiance that burns bright in the face of adversity. In the eyes of the downtrodden and the dispossessed, they are beacons of hope, symbols of a world where one’s worth is not measured by the blood that flows through their veins, but by the courage of their convictions.
In the whisper of tales, let me add to these shadows that dance. I write as I bear witness to these unlikely adventures for it is the hope of this world they succeed.

Ember walks to Muvara and talks to them asking questions about Aydriann. Muvara explains that Aydriann’s Younger Sister Tessa and older brother Corsten died in the Cliffside conclave. Because Corsten dies trying desperately to save Tessa an unfortunate curse developed that would trap Corsten as a dark echo. Muvara saved him from that fate with a choice Aydriann made to have him be a puppy. Ember doesn’t agree with this way of the world and says it needs to be better.
Muvara agrees with Ember and tells Ember that she is a lot like Sypha for the brief time Muvara saw and heard her. Muvara says that the orange crystal that Ember possesses is glowing. Ember takes out the Crystal to examine it and asks how it works. Muvara reaches out their hands to Ember and Ember puts her hands in Muvara’s. This takes Ember to a memory of Thomas Mair as he writes the Chapter, Vase or Urtoloch.
The following is from the chapter
Sypha Ignis was a student of Kaicrumao, accepted into the house of Mythlight where she studied relics of old. During her studies, she also delved into the forbidden relics of the past. A past that was once thought erased from the sphere. The young pyromancer, Sypha Ignis, believed the history books that wrote about our deities were a fallacy. Untruths to bury the brutal creation of our world.
Creatures from around Fornova came to the Kaicrumao to sell relics of old including ones that were deemed dangerous. Sypha’s curiosity into these relics led her to the vase of Urtoloch, which depicted divine ascension through the consumption of organs in some type of blood ritual. It also showed a dark creature with a head that was that of a skull with oddly placed holes, some above and some below, all being offset from each other. Several tentacles floated behind the skull which was supported by a long narrow skeletal body whose rib cage resembled a centipede and with arms and legs that were long and skinny. The last detail of the vase was the many tails that floated behind the creature, creating a faux display of wings.
This relic would be the key in unlocking some of the mysteries of Jazuohr, the Goddex of chaos. It also led to the discovery of something forbidden to even write. Gray blood(leaden blood), as a substitution, will suffice to a word deemed dangerous to speak or write, to save you reader from the eyes and ears of the gods.
The memory ends and Ember is back on the ship. Ember has questions but knows time is running out. Ember checks with everyone to see if they are ready. Aydriann says yes. Peach and Elira start to get ready along with Dax and Mack and Orianna and Melina. Ember notices something about Elira. The group confronts Elira to find out what she is hiding. She reveals a sad consequence to her transgressing against Noite. Her arm is showing signs of an effect that is common with creatures frozen to death by the Syn fruit.
Brushing off the offset, the group begins the journey to Targovisyn with Zavun as their guide. The trek is grueling and cold. On the first night the group benefits from Ember’s tiny hut. Second day the group had a hard time with the cold and couldn’t keep pace and formation. Frost howlers pick up their scent. Zavun is able to make a good pace and get to a good spot to camp for the night. In the morning the frost howlers caught up to the group. In Ember’s tiny hut the group waited while the howlers went past. When the howlers were about 200 feet away, the tiny hut ran out of time of its duration and vanished. All seemed well except for one howler that hesitated. Group at the ready the howlers turned to join the horde.
Third night comes and Peach notices Elira is struggling and is affected with more of the frozen death. Elira assures Peach she is ok and it doesn’t hurt.
